Most of the time ISO 27001 is the framework I use for ensuring just that.I focus a lot on getting a picture of the overall security posture by conducting risk assessments in a business perspective - thereby highlighting weaknesses and risks to continuous business execution. From there risk mitigations can be designed and implemented.I primarily focus on the governance, risk and compliance areas to create a framework for information security initiatives. Once that is done technical implementations can be delivered by a number of vendors or internal technical cyber security personnel.I strive to make senior management aware of their responsibility to evaluate the company's risks against the agreed risk appetite, and make them aware of their responsibility to fund mitigation of risks that are not acceptable to the organization.My information security approach is always firmly based on an Enterprise Architecture approach to align strategy, business and supporting technology. I always look at the business process first to derive security requirements and then work from there.So in a sense I strive to protect the ability to conduct business instead of just protecting the infrastructure.

Tasks include:- Merging ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 into one management system.- Assessing 20+ cloud vendors.- Preparing clients for audit.- Preparing client for iso 27001 certification.- Onboarding financial clients to security operations.- Defining Security governance.- Security Reporting for clients.As a special assignment I have designed and implemented ISO 14001 in Experis. And we obtained the certification.The reason why I took up the challenge was my deep knowledge of another ISO framework, namely the ISO 27001 framework. I found out that their respective management systems (EMS and ISMS) are very much alike, and based on that I took up the challenge.The same is true for ISO 9001 that I helped a medical client to join with ISO 27001. Their management system (QMS and ISMS) are very similar.
