CurrentI focus on complex cases in all areas of EU competition law, including abuse of dominance, restrictive practices, merger control, and state aid with a particular focus on consumer products, electronics and software, energy, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and transport. I have extensive experience from the European Commission's Competition Directorate General where I worked for more that 10 years. As head of the Energy and Environment Unit I was closely involved in the energy sector inquiry and a number of major abuse of dominance cases. I also spent a number of years in policy development and was involved in drafting Regulation 1/2003, which established a new procedural framework for applying Articles 101 and 102 TFEU and the accompanying guidelines and notices. Before joining DG Competition I served as a référendaire at the European Court of Justice.
