Data is the new oil, it is said. In that context, I am an oil rig roughneck and a refinery engineer combined into one - that is, I design, build and operate the systems that transform data from its raw nature into refined information that is usable for all. I strongly believe that there is vast hidden value in a business' data and I believe that this value is best extracted and used by organisations when the data is properly processed and well structured. Designing excellent datamodels is not only a technical discipline, it is just as well a business art.I have a keen interest and long experience in software- and data architecture. For me well structured datamodels and good software architecture are crucial elements in a robust, maintainable and long lasting software product. When designing and developing software solutions I am governed by the saying “Anything worth doing, is worth doing right”.
