In this role I lead McAfee's technical marketing efforts. I am responsible for setting the strategy and managing a team of technical marketing engineers. This is a global role and includes responsibilities for McAfee's entire product portfolio.

In this role I lead the technical sales efforts for select McAfee products. I am responsible for McAfee Endpoint Encryption, as well as the endpoint products that McAfee co-develops with Intel. My primary task is to deliver technical demos and proof of concept implementations, but I am also responsible for enabling the sales force and working with customers during their deployment. I also work closely with product marketing and product management on go to market strategy and product life cycle management. And, on occasion, you can find me speaking at industry events like Intel IDF, McAfee Focus and the RSA conference.

McAfee acquired SafeBoot at the end of 2007. As part of the new Data Protection business unit, my role changed to be more focused on enterprise selling, team leadership, and collaboration with the product management / development team.- Responsible for selling to enterprise and large government customers across the entire USA.- Channel engagement and sales.- Automate processes to minimize resources required to sell to small and mid-market customers.- Train and mentor new engineers, and train existing McAfee engineers- Work with R&D to build new product features and manage ad-hoc projects with hardware and software partners.

As a consultant for SafeBoot, my primary job is to be an expert on SafeBoot's products and services. With that expertise I work with the sales force to sell the product and then serve our customers in post sales operations. This position requires me to have a thorough understanding of SafeBoot products, but also requires me to have expertise in information security, and enterprise IT infrastructure.- Sold over $2.5M to enterprise and large government customers- Implemented and supported customers representing more than $10M in revenue

IMLP is GE's leadership development program for IT. In this role, I got formal training in project management, software development life cycle, enterprise networking, six sigma, lean six sigma, change acceleration process (CAP), database design & SQL, Java, JSP, and professional speaking. The program also consisted of four rotations, each lasting for six months. In my first rotation, I managed three web application development projects. In short, I took three projects through the SDLC in six months. My next rotation was on the IT Security team, reporting directly to the Chief Security Officer. In this role, I was the global project leader for the deployment of SafeBoot encryption software to roughly 35,000 laptops. In my third rotation, I worked on the Operational Excellence team as a problem manager. From an ITIL perspective, I worked as both an incident manager and as a problem manager in this role.

My role in this position was to work with University faculty and staff on high tech projects. Most of these projects were in an effort to bring "new media" into the classroom. I would teach professors how to build websites, record videos and make DVDs, make podcasts, and deliver all kinds of content in new formats. We also specialized in printing. We had a large format printer, a dye-sublimation printer, and also a slide printer. This job also gave me the opportunity to learn about SAN and grid computing.

Managed and all OS X environment for a 20-person department. I was responsible for hardware and software maintenance as well as local network architecture and backup solutions. I also served as their webmaster.
