I led the Pivotal Labs consulting business in Pivotal's SF headquarters. Worked with clients to deliver software and improve capabilities in diverse markets ranging from logistics, finance, retail, and government.I was responsible for the overall success of a ~$20M person services business with ~70 staff. This included driving strategy and partnering with sales, finance, and HR folks as well as clients.

I was responsible for management and activities of the Pivotal Labs Palo Alto team of developers, designers, and product managers. Managed the Palo Alto Pivotal Labs business unit to success measured by key metrics.I identified opportunities, negotiated contracts, and brought projects to success in close collaboration with clients.I helped clients use Agile/Lean processes to move faster and with greater reliability.

Oversaw product direction for SideReel, Divx.com, and the AMG properties.Managed a team of designers and product managers including hiring and firing.

SideReel was acquired by Rovi, Inc in March 2011 with over 16M unique users per month and over 3M registered users.SideReel was built to help people watch, track, and discover television shows.I did a wide variety of different things:* Determining product strategy* Writing user stories and playing Product Owner* Hiring and managing engineers, designers, and other product folks* Significant UX work (boxes and arrows)* Customer development* Constant user research* Cleaning toilets
