I primarily focused on the conversion of glucose to lactic acid, a building block toward a carbon-neutral plastic. As part of this effort I successfully characterized two previously-unknown phases of copper which allowed me to design a catalyst that improved yields by 288%. Additionally, I served as lab manager for two years and coordinated the acquisition of over $250k of analytical equipment. -
