My responsibility was to create trust and cooperation with the various divisions of the businesses, to ensure a working culture, were legal was involved early and could act proactively.Leadership - Focus and Achievements:I built a legal department from scratch, and took the organisation and management on an expedited journey from working with legal as a legal-service provider and compliance controller, to a legal strategic business partner.Achievement: The legal function was recognized as working in unison with the business towards the common goals, and become a trusted sparring-partner on matters of a wide range – also non-legal.I systematized the legal work, ensured knowledge building- and retention, held panel-reviews of external legal service providers.Achievement: I cut the overall legal spending by more than 70 % - including growing the team from one lawyer, to three lawyers and one paralegal.I was Chairman of the board of Nestlé Danmark A/S, and a member of the boards of Nestlé Sverige AB, AS Nestlé Norge, Suomen Nestlé Oy and Nestlé Professional Food A/S

As a member of the legal department of Post Denmark - subsequently Post Nord - my primary area of responsibility was competition law. Most notably, I was deeply engaged in the merger with Post Sweden and with Post Denmark´s case before the European Court of Justice. I also dealt with a wide variety of other areas of commercial law, including but not limited to contract law, company law, marketing law, trademark law, trade secrets, processing of personal data and – naturally – postal law. I assisted Post Greenland and the Government of Greenland with the drafting of a new postal law for Greenland.My work at Post Denmark A/S entailed a lot of communication and cooperation with the various business units of Post Danmark, as the legal department of Post Danmark A/S was generally involved in i.e. the development of new products at a very early stage.

Head of Section at the Danish Competition Authority (DCA). The DCA refers to an independent council in cases concerning the Danish Competition Act, which in general is identical to art. 101 and 102 EU. Also, the DCA refers to the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs in political issues related to the development of an efficient competition.I primarily handled cases within the Motor vehicles-, Media- and IT-industry. I represented teh Government of Denmark in the Advisory Council of the EU-Commission during the Commission´s case against Microsoft regarding abuse of a dominant position towards Sun Systems.
