As the Chief Commercial Officer, I am responsible for Sales, Marketing Communication, Technical Services and Customer Service worldwide. We go to market through 5 Market Units covering direct sales to OEMs and key accounts, as well as channel sales to system integrators and end users. HMS has high growth and profitability targets, so there is a great focus on market development to support organic growth with existing and new customers. We also work actively with M&A to support the overall growth agenda. During the last couple of years our Digital Sales and Marketing project has transformed the way we work from lead to order. As CCO I am part of the global management team where we develop our strategies to ensure continued profitable growth.

Getinge, Sweden

Getinge is a leading global provider of products and systems that contribute to quality enhancement and cost efficiency within healthcare and life sciences. Following the major reorganization of Getinge Group into 3 Sales Regions, 3 Business Category Units and 1 Global Supply Chain a special Life Science focus area was created. As Vice President Life Science I had full responsibility for the Global Life Science business in terms of Business Development and Business Management. I was also responsible for the Global Key Account program and OEM sales. As VP Life Science I was part of the BCU management team. Soon after my departure, Life Science became a separate Business Area within Getinge, building on the turnaround of the business I had been delivering with my team from 2014-2017.

Getinge, Sweden

After 3 years in China, I relocated back to Sweden to launch a new business plan for Getinge’s Life Science business. The target was to restore profitable growth. I created a global virtual sales team and launched a Commercial Excellence program based on Global Key Account Management principles. Keys to success were implementation of integrated margins and a closer collaboration between the supply chain and sales.

Shanghai, China

In 2011 I relocated to China to focus on building the Life Science business in East Asia (Greater China and South Korea). My responsibilities were to develop both the local sales team and the distributor business. I also set up a local Life Science service team in China. In September 2012 the area was extended to APAC, from India in the West down to New Zeeland in the Southeast. A specific focus was to re-organize the Southeast Asia operations as well as to keep developing the Life Science business in the entire APAC region. As Vice President I was part of the Management team in the region.

Getinge, Sweden

As Area Sales Director I was responsible for the distributor business in East Europe, Middle East, and Africa for the Life Science Business segment (pharmaceutical, research and laboratories). My main tasks were to develop the business with existing distributors as well as find new ones. I also managed direct sales in markets where no representation was established and account management for Global Key Accounts in the region.

Halmstad, Sverige

GEA Food Solutions, known as CFS at the time of my employment, provide innovative solutions for preparing, separating, further processing, preserving, chilling, packaging and freezing a wide variety of meat, poultry, fish, seafood, oils and fats, fruit, vegetables, dairy products, bread, confectionary and food ingredients. I was responsible for setting up and running CFS’ operations in Sweden (sales and service). I started as Key Customer Manager and Country Manager with a home office and one service engineer. During my tenure we expanded to 8 employees, 1 office and generated a solid profitable growth. The role incorporated budget and profit responsibility as well as staff responsibility for the Swedish staff. I was a member of the management team for CFS Nordic A/S with 45 employees in the Nordic countries.

Falkenberg, Sverige

IBC International Handling AB was at the time primarily active in powder handling equipment. I was responsible for the design and development of customized and bespoke packaging and powder handling systems. My main tasks were to create design specifications and procure parts, sub-assemblies, and systems from sub-suppliers. I also worked with international sales of packaging machines and systems.
