In my roles as a Senior Project Manager for E-Commerce at dgroup, Germany, I led projects >1.200 man-days. Project scopes included building new online shops from scratch as well as re-building and/or optimizing existing websites and shops. Additionally, I consulted our clients about their online marketing efforts to optimize conversions and drive leads.

When Social Media was relatively new to the internet world, the SMCHH organized a monthly industry event focusing on how to best leverage "Social Media" for business. During my time as Director of the Social Media Club in Hamburg, Germany we organized events for 100+ attendees with speakers from Microsoft, Unilever, Greenpeace, and Interone, amongst many others. Additionally, we co-hosted a special "social media" related event for Microsoft.

Lars Wehmeyer was a freelance consultant in Strategic Online Marketing. He worked under the roof of formatune, a freelance agency for production, design and marketing based in Hamburg, Germany. For his clients, Lars developed online marketing strategies and communications plans and coordinated their execution. His clients included Volksfuersorge and arvato mobile.

Lars was responsible for all Online Marketing activities of the B2C websites of arvato mobile GmbH, a Bertelsmann Media Group company. He developed the annual marketing plan including budgeting and coordinated and supervised the implementation of all planned activities. Lars reported directly to the VP B2C.

Lars planned, controlled and optimized large, international campaigns of European agencies in the Lycos Network (including Chefkoch.de, holidaycheck.de and laut.de). He coordinated and oversaw campaigns for clients such as Procter&Gamble, E-Plus, Vodafone and Volkswagen.

Lars was responsible for campaign planning and management in conjunction with partners including United Internet and MTV. He planned and executed marketing activities for exclusive presales for tours of U2, Bon Jovi and Peter Gabriel.
