I specialize on foreign policy decision-making and the military use of force. My research interests include domestic politics, framing, military interventions, civil-military relations, foreign policy decision making, and US foreign policy. I am writing my doctoral thesis on the Swedish decision-making process for the military contribution to ISAF in Afghanistan 2002-2014.

I teach strategy and political science in both the military and civilian programs at the SDU. My area of expertise concerns foreign policy decision-making and the use of military force abroad. I frequently use simulations in my teaching in order to bridge the gap between theory and practice. I take great pride in teaching the next generation of leaders in Sweden and helping them prepare for their future engagements.

As part of a parliamentary scholarship I served on different posts within the parliament administration, for example the Research Service, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee of the Constitution.

I have served at the Swedish Amphibious Regiment since 2004 with a some periods of leave for 1) studies at a civilian university, 2) parental leave and 3) my present position as a Ph.D. student through the Armed Forces Ph.D. program. During my active service I worked mainly with radio and satelite communications and cryptosystems. In 2008 I served in a marine infantry company in Chad/Central African Republic deployed as part of a EUFOR mission.

Widereceivers and Special Teams coach for the Superseries team Royal Crowns. The team won the Swedish National Championship in 2001.
