● R&D in cross-functional team for building Dialogue Based Intelligent Tutoring Systems: 20 peer reviewed publications, 100+ citations, and Conversational Systems (for Tutoring Code, and Counselling US Navy). Projects Funded by NSF or Office of Naval Research.● Analyzed large volume of unstructured data (student-teacher interaction): discovered effective tutoring strategies and learning pattern for learning code. Used advanced statistical techniques and predictive modeling.● Fine-Tuned LLM for Question Generation for Programming (BLEU =89.12, SOTA). Also, expanded Question Generation Dataset for the Programming domain (didn't exist before).● Key contributor of $750K research project for Scaffolding students' mental models during code comprehension: led efforts for experiment design, study, data collection, preprocessing, annotations, and analysis.● Mentored junior Ph.D. and master’s students. Co-supervised 5 students for their master’s projects.
