• Processing of interlibrary loan requests.
• Performs more complex tasks such as writing documentation, troubleshooting of ILLiad and other software, compiling statistics for copyright usage and general data reports.
• Indirectly supervise and train student workers on the interlibrary loan process to ensure smooth workflow and quality results for our patrons.
• Provides assistance to patrons as the primary channel for questions and inquiry about interlibrary loan.
• Works on and develops special projects to further the development of the interlibrary loan department to provide excellent service for patrons.

• Working at Kenneth Spencer Research Library taught me the basics of how libraries function and how to provide patrons with the resources they require to accomplish their projects. Skills acquired/Responsibilities:
• Basic library tasks such as paging materials and organizing stacks.
• Introduced to library software such as Aeon and Voyager--becoming an expert in both after two years of experience.
• Trained on the use of Microfilm and Microfiche machines--worked on writing documentation on the usage of said machines for patrons.
• Learned the proper handling of special collection materials and basic maintenance procedures for said materials.
• Provided assistance to patrons and school groups K-12 on the proper handling of materials alongside curators.
