• Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.• Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.• Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches.• Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity.• Test and evaluate security products.• Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones.• Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.• Engage in 'ethical hacking', for example, simulating security breaches. • Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption.• Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.• Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorized system users.• Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations • Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders• Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.• Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activity • Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues• Give advice and guidance to staff on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails

• Developing and evaluating audit processes and reporting on their results • Applying established audit standards throughout the infrastructure • Auditing and assessing all aspects of the company’s network applications, including software, programs, security, and communications • Assisting with risk assessments, including identification, evaluation, and documentation of business and system risks and controls.• Exercising superior judgment when evaluating the business impact and significance of audit findings, identifying mitigating controls and other factors, and assessing whether residual risks • Drafting and reviewing written audit reports which accurately describe results of tests performed, the nature of control weaknesses and exposures, expressing an opinion on the adequacy of internal controls and overall procedures and identifying practical recommendations for improvements.• Assisting external auditors and regulatory auditors in the performance of scheduled audit activities.

Duties and responsibilities• Designed and implemented Bindura University website• Establishing and overseeing the University Website Committee leading and coordinating the on-going web-based needs of the faculty, staff, administration, and students – as well as functionality for external constituents• Managing and editing web content, creating and maintaining high-quality web pages• Contribute to the overall branding, messaging, and other marketing and communications strategies of Bindura University, enhancing its online presence and overall image and awareness• Optimising the website for easy accessibility and high ranking on different search engines like google, yahoo search, bing etc.• Manage Bindura University’s website by keeping it current, fresh, informative, accurate, and engaging• Establish and manage Bindura University social media presence, through platforms like facebook, whatsaap, youtube, skype, twitter, flickr • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards. • Analyze and prepare monthly website statistics to track success of current features and inform ongoing web development efforts.• Examine and analyze site traffic.
