As part of an academic internship program through the University of Colorado at Boulder, Laura worked as an editorial writer for American Cowboy Magazine. Other responsibilities included: copyediting, fact checking, photo research, planning and executing a photo shoot as well as general administrative tasks.After the end of her internship, Laura continued working as a freelance writer for American Cowboy Magazine through September 2011.
