Supporting the development of the Energy Institute's scientific and technical work programme, in particular related to health, safety and environment.Day-to-day tasks include:- Drafting of technical development project scopes/technical specifications.- Conducting reviews of draft technical products, and delivering technical products that have reached consensus whilst meeting criteria including efficiency, value, timeliness and quality. - Securing Technical Partner, Technical Company Member, and stakeholder funding.- Preparing and issuing tender documents.-Identifying and contracting technical service contractors.- Providing secretariat support to defined technical committees, including resourcing and maintaining their membership, drafting and disseminating committee documents, maintaining committee microsites, organising workshops, etc.- Proofreading, sub-editing, and formatting of draft technical development products (e.g., guidance documents, research reports, technical notes, etc.) delivered by service contractors for alignment with internal quality standards as well as committee expectations.- Developing and maintaining networks of contacts with industry operating companies, government, academia, NGOs, regulators, technical service contractors, and trade bodies, and identifying cross-working opportunities.- Developing project funding proposals for the scientific and technical work programme, including budgets and business cases for defined aspects of the programme.- Engaging the wider/emerging energy sectors with a view to disseminating knowledge, and developing scientific and technical products relevant to those sectors.
