On the professional level I am trained as an architect and urban designer at Columbia University and New York Institute of Technology. I have a deep passion for sustainability and resiliency for structures and spaces that we occupy daily. I have a desire to use my knowledge and work experience to advance projects while learning how to become a project leader, valuable team member and community member as well. Collaboration is something I feel strongly for and I believe it is one of the key to success. Throughout my career I was fortunate to work on diverse projects with different scales ranging from small individual to large scale. My first job as a professional it was at a Civil Engineering firm, where I was able to develop skills for Land Design and Development including environmentally conscious site design for small neighborhoods. Years later, after graduating from B.Arch the road took me to an architecture job where I was able to develop skills towards designing Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Soon after graduating from Masters in Architecture and Urban Design I had the opportunity to work for a landscape architecture firm where I was involved with all phases of a large scale Urban Design/ Landscape Architecture project in the Middle East. Concurrently, I have been working as a consultant and freelance designer for a building envelope moisture consultant firm. Here the main projects consists in roof replacement for large hospital chains in Virginia and Washington DC.At the personal level, I am passionate traveler and avid photographer who enjoys exploring new and uncharted places. Also, I am a huge fan of the outdoors and I enjoy every sport, especially winter-sports. All my past experience with traveling helps me reflect to culture differences which are great sources for my design inspirations.
