At Boeing I was heavily involved in the migration of legacy routers and switches in a data center environment to SDN, gaining hands on experience with Cisco ACI. Part of this work was to re-build Cisco ASA firewalls and F5 load balancers in line with the multi-pod/multi-tenant ACI environment.Working closely with the infrastructure team to build a new Dell VxRail Hyper-Converged Infrastructure and integrate it with Cisco ACI. This enabled us to expand our automation team to develop full stack solution to automate network maintenance and management tasks with Ansible, this involved customizing modules for ASA firewalls, F5 and Infoblox (IP allocation and DNS).I was also working on Boeing's Enterprise network connecting 10 branch offices and 2 additional data centers in a highly secure environment. In this network we deployed firewalls from multiple vendors and Cisco routers and switches. I was supporting an SSL VPN solution and our wireless infrastructure as well as future projects such as SD-WAN.

With CableCom (later Glide) I was taking a technical lead on a range of projects delivering wired and wireless connectivity and managed services to customers.Configured and upgraded switches and routers, configured DHCP, NAT, ACLs, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and Spanning TreeAlongside the projects I was providing support in progressing 3rd level escalations from our Service Desk to meet or exceed SLA over issues such as Speed, latency, connectivity issues, IPTV, Telephony, Registration Portal and providing information to assist decision making by others.I was configuring SNMP monitoring and network management systems and assisted in the creation and maintenance of documentation.

Here I played a key role as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, and for escalation from the Service Desk and ticketing systems. It was a large organisation and I supported over 1000 users operating 300 PCs, networked printers and portable devices.
