 Effectively manage a classroom by arriving early, reviewing plans and gathering the needed guides and teaching materials. Control of classroom by starting class decisively and giving directions.  Utilize a classroom discipline plan and give specific directions about ideal classroom culture, and frequently circulate around the class to monitor the children. Communicate the significance of learning and provide positive feedback.

 Instruct various lessons in Math, Reading, and Writing Centers employing captivating teaching techniques. Assign students with different duties to heighten the student’s sense of responsibility and initiative.  Lecture students on reading strategies to enhance test taking skills.  Provide students with direct instruction in reading by employing the use Success Maker to enhance their level of comprehension. Cultivate the student’s writing skills through the development of correct grammar practices and application of these practices into creative writing. Offer personal attention to students and strengthen areas of weakness in reading and test taking through an after school tutoring program.  Incorporate positive reinforcement techniques to encourage learning and class participation.

Hired as a full-time teacher instructing all academic subject areas in classrooms of up to 26 1st and 6th grade students. Left Charter Schools USA (on excellent terms) at the end of the 2009 academic year to move to Atlanta to start a family, and was hired as a substitute teacher for The Friend School current spring term.

 Execute and air commercials from various clients, while assigning production orders to full time personalities for production. Run CNN Headline news from satellite through the board to be aired at a specific time and run commercials during every break.  Document all commercials in the Label Production file so each commercial can be accounted for and reviewed at the end of the night. Prepare a report of all commercials that are produced each day. Download Mp3 files and place into the production file so commercials are produced. Record and edit commercials to and from VoxPro, CD, Tapes, Mp3, ProTools, Mini Disk, and DAT to cart to be aired. Train interns to perform daily tasks in preparing commercials for air.
