"My Childhood" is a for-purpose, non-profit organization registered in the state of Missouri, USA. The group completed its first mission in December, 2009, with a donation of Christmas presents to a Children's group home in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. We are actively working to help Bulgarian kids in need, through direct donations of food, clothes, books, school materials, toys, and other items, based on the specific circumstances. We also partner with reputable NGOs on the ground in Bulgaria, to implement missions in cities all over the country. Realizing that many Bulgarian families cannot afford life-saving/critical medical procedures needed for their children, we actively raise funds for treatments such as spinal surgery at St. Louis Children's Hospital, or cancer treatment in Western Europe and Turkey. We are proud to maintain the following principles, which have been in place since 2009: We operate with the highest degree of integrity, and transparency for our donors, in order for them to witness the significant, positive impact their support brings, to Bulgarian children in need.  All of our activities are specific to the needs of a particular child/children's group home, and therefore, our approach is highly personalized.  100% of all funds received from donors are used for the children; the donations are never used for operational expenses. We never gift monies in cash; we purchase the needed items and donate those instead.We would be happy to welcome you, as a member of our group!
