While helping a friend during my maternity leave, I picked up interest in web development.And chose web development immersive program in GA as I wanted to give my 100% for learning.I enjoyed everyday in the program and learned many tech and non-tech skills.Below are the projects I have worked on.S I N G I N G F R AME S------------------------------Roles: Front-end & Back-end developerMar 2017 - Ongoing------------------------------The project's purpose is to connect families. This is my personal and most ambitious project. A user could signup on the app and create a 'family' like a user-group and then send token based invitations to other family members.Other family members would then signup using the token.Then after a user can login and click on 'find my family' and all the family members are shown on the google map. The location of the user is updated on login from the current ip address.I have developed front-end and back-end on different servers and my front-end talks to backend through ajax.I want to keep working on this and add more family activities.Tech-stack:-----------------Rails5, PostgreSql, React, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Material-UI.Send-grid (email notifications), Google maps API with react.Github: https://github.com/VidyullathaKandipati/SingingFrames_FrontEnd

EquityClear -- London clearing houseProject Description: Technically EquityClear is a low latency high frequency application that clears more than 1 million trades per day. Functionally EquityClear is a clearing service that provides clearing and settlement for equity based trades and equity equivalents. EquityClear provides protection against counterparty risk and provides Settlement Netting. This application also calculates Initial and Variation Margins to estimate the risk each member pose. Role: Senior C++ developerResponsibilities:• Learnt and developed complex queries, stored procedures and transact SQL scripts in Sybase for the first time and received commendations from management for my quick learning abilities.• Learnt and developed several shell scripts.• Have developed shell scripts to execute different components in parallel to achieve high performance.• Have incorporated multi-threading functionality to achieve high throughput in the application.• Co-ordinated with QA team for test cycles preparations.• Defect analysis and defect fixing.• Used rational clear case for software repository management. • Excellent experience in Client Facing role and on-site co-ordination (emails, phone calls and conferencing).• Involved in various stages of Transition and Knowledge transfer to the team members• Leading the team by mentoring, motivating and nurturing new team members• Fast Learning Curve along with strong analytical and problem solving skills. AXC (ATM Cross Connect)Client : NSNLanguage : C++Operating System : Sun Solaris, Linux.Working Environment : The project is developed in C, C++ in Cygwin (clearcase) using vi editor. Team Size : 10 (Project size 100+).Scope : AXC is a transport node for third generation (3G) networks and provides wide range of interfaces for 3G ATM traffic over existing networks.It functions as an ATM cross-connect device for Radio Access Network (RAN) AXC interfaces support all different transmission media: wire line, optical fiber. Responsibilities:I have been part of CPP (Control Plane Protocol) module, which mainly contributes to the signaling between BTS & AXC and AXC & RNC.I have taken the responsibility of a critical module, which involves leading 2 other junior team members and also delivering the high quality product and got good commendations from superiors for delivering the high quality product.

CCU (Cross Connection Unit)Client : NSNLanguage : C++.Operating System : Sun Solaris.Working Environment : The project is developed in C, C++ in Cygwin (clearcase) using vi editor.Project Duration : 4 months From 1st July 2007 to 4rth Nov 2007.Team Size : 16.Scope:1) CCU Project is mainly to deal with the cross connections in a network and to ensure that traffic is flowing correctly through the cross connections. Responsibilities:My main contribution was bug fixing in FHBCA module which acts like the front end between the Main Unit and the CCU s/w. I also have developed a feature that returns the status of the Activation of the cross connections.
