After growing up just outside of our nation's capital, I went to college at the University of Cincinnati's world-renowned College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). I graduated with a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design and, thanks to the co-op program, with nearly two years of work experience in the field. Through the internships, I gained knowledge in furniture manufacturing and design with Arcadia Contract in California, point of sales and fulfillment with InnoMark Communications in Ohio, and audio design & engineering with Shure Inc. in Chicago.After college, I headed out west, returning to Los Angeles to see what more it had to offer. I was met with sunshine and job opportunities almost immediately. After a brief stint doing contract work for a major toy company, Spin Master located in the greater Los Angeles area, I landed an entry level position at a small consultancy called Boombang.Working at Boombang taught me many things. Most of all, my experience there taught me how to wear many "hats." Within my first month, I was not only flexing my core Industrial Design skills, but also taking on elements of Mechanical Engineering. One week, I'd be sketching away at new concepts, the next I'd be interfacing with vendors reviewing mold flow analyses of tooling. With companies like InnoVero, I’ve taken projects from Blue Sky Research & Market Analysis to Supply Chain Logistics & full Production runs. I’ve also aided start-ups like Kapoose Creek Wellness, with Launch Strategies and Web Development.During my 8 years at Boombang, I worked with clients both big and small whose projects gave me opportunities to travel internationally throughout the world. I was the Project Manager for a series of clients like Kaloud who produced the first ever heat management device within the hookah industry. I was also either Lead or Senior Designer on projects with Major League Baseball, Under Armour, Lululemon, and Moldex resulting in over 10 patents to my name.As of 2023, I've launched my own business, III Dimension where I can continue to find applications for my design skills and creative thinking.
