I am a dedicated, success-driven NOVA student a part of the Year Up Business Operations program. Year Up is a one year, career advancing program tailored for young adults who are in pursuit of Information Technology, Business and Cyber Security careers in the corporate world. Year Up aids young individuals in obtaining imperative skills required for success in the corporate environment. Year Up’s emphasizes their mission to empower young, urban talent to reach their maximum potential and to close the opportunity divide. My passion for engagement and interaction with other people has lead me to earning over 140 hours of community service experience, most being with non-profit organizations such as the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of America, where we assist young individuals discover their innate strengths and untapped abilities while positively impacting others within the community through volunteerism and service around the community. As mentors for young individuals within the organization, we also help acquire necessary life skills that are critical for their success. During my journey in Year Up and being a college student at NOVA, I have learned what the business environment consists of and how businesses fluctuate and function. I have also attained certifications in Microsoft Office and extensive technical skills.
