In PKU, I worked on a project that aimed at the preparation and improvement of low-cost sorbent materials for wet flue gas separation under ambient conditions. Various adsorbents that could be used in practical applications and even be commercialized were prepared during the assignment.

The government of KP appointed me as a secondary school teacher (SST) in 2014. I taught Chemistry, Biology, and English at the secondary school level in government-run schools.

During the first and second Afghan wars, millions of ordinary Afghan people were forced to flee the war zone and take refuge in neighboring countries. I always tried to contribute, in a personal capacity, as much as I could to lessen the suffering of refugees living in our village, but it was never enough. When I had the opportunity and free time to contribute to their welfare, I joined BEFARe (a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in the 1980s), which works on Afghan refugees' basic education, awareness, and reform. I was tasked with the most challenging and ground-breaking job of communicating and mobilizing the community to benefit themselves from BEFARe's initiatives. I worked as an intern in the R&D labs of OGDCL, Pakistan. My job was to analyze and determine the chemical composition of sludge. I mostly used thermal, spectroscopic, and chromatographic techniques for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
