My personal mission is to live each day with vision and purpose so that the talents and gifts I have will empower, encourage and promote people to live a virtuous and purpose filled life. I will do this by being a giver of my time and talents, lead by example and walk the talk by my work, words and deeds.After working in nonprofits for 15 years I have realized that this field that I enjoy. I have the opportunity to transform, empower, and motivate the lives of the community on all spectrums. Not only do I work for a nonprofit organization, but I volunteer in my community, and many other grassroots initiatives.To that end, I have worn many hats in the non-profit field - direct service staff, program developer, budget management, researcher, board liaison, manager, director, strategic planning lead, grant compliance, community engagement and outreach. I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary project and to navigate complex challenges. However, actual experience has taught me that my professional value boils down to the following:- I have the ability to be flexible. This is an important skill to have in this type of work.- I completely understand and have embraced that the culture of non-profit as we know it is changing. It is important to be relevant and update practices and operations in order of organizations to remain in the community.- I don't care who gets the credit. We are a team.
