Steve Latoski has over 28 years experience as a practitioner and researcher in transportation engineering. Steve championed many innovative traffic safety designs and implementations and developed numerous technical references and training courses on traffic incident and planned special events management. Steve managed delivery of operator services for a metropolitan transportation management center, and he performed active traffic management and control during the 2018 U.S. Golf Open in Southampton, NY. He currently administers Mohave County Public Works, which maintains 2,100 road miles in the fifth largest county by area in the continental United States. Steve also directs three public water systems, County regional and community parks, the Mohave County Fairgrounds and Fair, motor pool and building facility operations. Public Works is American Public Works Association (APWA) accredited, and its Parks Division is accredited through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA).Steve manages over 185 staff under a $50 million budget. He secured $13.6 million in federal funds for County transportation improvement projects.
