I would like to start off by saying I didn't choose Best Buy; Best Buy chose me. I grew up with a dream of becoming a nurse since childhood, so I attended college for 3 years with only 1 year of clinicals remaining. While working at an assistant living facility, I gained love elderly people and want to help enrich their lives as much as possible. However, leadership needed some work, decisions needed to be made for the team experience and appreciation. I started a new position working at a client home as support for her everyday life which I absolutely loved. Her family moved her away which left me unemployed and receiving benefits to supplement income. Applying to jobs to supplement my life necessities, had an interview with Best Buy and I thought that I done horrible on the interview because I didn't want the job so for sure would not receive a call back. However, a leader that was able to draw out an individual and he saw something that I didn't see in myself. He hired me and I started the position of a greeter which I loved, and I MUST ADD: I'm a snail in a shell and change was not a strong suit that possessed at the time. Various leaders helped me through my challenges and helped me to realize my potential with the company and my people skills and my love for helping others. With my experience I want to help others to grow to be the best person that they can be. With me taking this position helped me to make a huge impact on others as well with a concrete foundation with Best Buy.
