Going into my 10th year working at CommuniCare Health Centers, 6 of those years were in the Medical Records department where I learned the importance of protecting patient information and managing electronic health records in a secure and organized manner. Having reached the glass ceiling of my skill set in Medical records, I was able to move into the NextGen Help Desk team as an EHR Application Technician in 2015 where I have continuously expanded my knowledge of the NextGen Health Care System that CommuniCare uses. I have acquired skills in Template Editing, Document Builder, Microsoft SQL Server, Advanced Audit and much more. I obtained my NCP (NextGen Certified Professional) in EHR in 2017 and am working on my PM and Document Management Certifications. Now, in 2018 applied and was granted the position of EHR Application Specialist where I help manage our Single and Bi-directional Interfaces as well as monitoring all background functions that ensure smooth workflow for our providers and clinical staff. Prior to working at CommuniCare, I have also had experiences working in Telemarketing, Customer Service via Call Centers, Receptionist/Secretarial settings and Food Service. All of these previous experiences have helped to mold me into the person I am today as far as Teamwork, work ethic, drive, motivation and management skills.
