• Review the Institute’s ICT policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and participate in the organization’s strategic planning process.
• Plan problem resolution strategies, review division performance and provide guidance and advice to the Executive Director on matters relating to ICT.
• Prepare performance appraisals and recommend and/or initiates corrective action where necessary to improve performance and/or attaining established personal and/or organizational goals
• Prepare monthly reports on the ICT performance and advance strategic insight from ICT perspective on how the unit influences corporate development in achieving its objectivesTechnical Responsibilities
• Develops, implements, and maintains policies to guide and inform the use of ICT in the Institute

• Perform chemical and physical analysis and examinations of evidence using qualitative and quantitative techniques in one or more of the following: trace evidence, toxicological screening, drug analysis, fire debris and.
• Operate laboratory equipment such such as Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatograph-Flame Ionization Detector and polarized light microscope.
• Analyze physical evidence by chemical, physical and instrumental techniques.
• Examine and test materials such as viscera, body fluids, narcotics, vegetable matter, alcohols, petrol, debris and other substances, materials and objects which may constitute physical and chemical evidence.
• Make field investigations at scenes of crime and other pertinent locations to search for, collect and preserve evidence which will be the subject of laboratory analysis such as fire analysis and identification of.
• Consult with investigators and attorneys in respect of casework status and findings

• Perform forensic examination across various digital devices and storage media utilizing forensic software such as EnCase and FTK.
• Perform data recovery of file and operating systems artifacts such as deleted data, cybercrime investigation, data acquisition, documentation and analysis of information contained within and created with computer.
• Perform mobile forensic examinations which entails data extraction and analysis of data on electronic devices such as cell phone and other storage media.
• Perform hard drive imaging, examination and analysis of data acquisition from computer and other electronic devices.
• Produce written and digital reports of forensic examinations outlining findings for investigators and prosecutors for the purpose of court.
• Search and seizure of digital media including desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices from crime scenes to be examined at the cyber lab to prove or disprove the involvement of accused in illegal activities
