Created a Maintenance department to help automate facilities and process with fully designed maintenance systems in multiple facilities across multiple provinces.

As the Maintenance Superintendent, I have responsibilities above and beyond just managing the maintenance department. I am heavily involved with capital projects, union business, the safety committee, and company-wide maintenance initiatives.

I was responsible for safety, maintenance, capital projects, union relationships, and departmental financial success at the world's largest Red Cedar Sawmill. I was also involved in company-wide maintenance initiatives across Interfor.I continually strive to lower costs, increase reliability, and optimize mill profitability by constantly finding large and small wins.After the closure of the Hammond Sawmill, I successfully led the decommissioning team to reacquire value from the mill; removing equipment and dismantling electrical systems. This portion of the project was completed without incident and on time.

As a Maintenance Supervisor for Interfor, I am responsible for leading, coaching, planning, and implementing all maintenance related activities in the sawmill. The maintenance team is responsible for all equipment maintenance and has a well-trained team of millwrights, electricians, saw filers, benchmen, and oilers. My main directive is to create a safe workplace while working to continuously and diligently improve all maintenance practices and programs.
