LaTrice Harrison serves as Vice President of Development for the International American Medical Mission (IAMM) bringing unwavering expertise and undeniable compassion to the leadership team. After many years in the corporate arena as a marketing executive, LaTrice transitioned to the nonprofit sector in 2010, when she accepted a position with Matrix Human Services in Detroit, as Director of Marketing. Within a year, she was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Development, overseeing marketing efforts for nine programs and brand marketing for nearly 600 employees. To this day, LaTrice Harrison is affectionately referred to by many community leaders and past clients as “the voice for those who have lost their words.” During her tenure with Matrix Human Services, LaTrice advocated for vulnerable families. Raising more than $4M to support programs designed to help those living in poverty transition to a life of economic self-sufficiency, LaTrice was a key component to the organization’s success serving 25,000 annually. LaTrice received numerous awards and honors for her philanthropic endeavors including, the Women of Excellence award from the Michigan Chronicle, the Spirit of Detroit award from the Detroit City Council/City of Detroit, a Hometown Hero nomination from the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and received the esteemed honor of being selected as a fellow with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).In addition to her role with IAMM, LaTrice is the co-owner of Harrison Affect LLC, a marketing and design firm based in Illinois. She is also a public speaker (often recruited for keynote addresses), and an international children’s book author of Faith the Baby Seed and the Field of Dandelions sold online and in brick-and-mortar stores including Amazon, Apple Music, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, Target, and Walmart. She is also the author of “We Can No Longer Be Friends Because of the Color of My Skin,” targeting pre-teens while addressing social injustice, sold on Amazon. LaTrice holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Olivet College in Journalism with course concentration in marketing and has completed various sales, marketing, and fundraising training programs with certifications.Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, LaTrice currently resides in Illinois with her husband and son.
