Sea & Shore Solutions enhances waterways and shorelines by supporting federal agencies, state coastal management programs and natural resource agencies, local jurisdictions, and non-governmental entities in various topics and processes related to coastal management and marine policy. Adrian contributes applied skills in policy analysis, community engagement and outreach, social science research, geographic information systems (GIS), and group facilitation. She approaches each project with a systems-based lens, with a keen interest in the intersections between the natural environment, society, and governance. As the CEO, she directs research & development, information technology, procurement, and marketing functions; establishes partnerships and manages online communications via original website, Facebook page, LinkedIn, and professional society engagement; writes, reviews, submits, and evaluates grant proposals and contracts; leads applied projects by coordinating teams, establishing timelines, and prioritizing tasks; and leads GIS projects and technological processes.

Enhance the implementation of Oregon’s federal consistency authority, as specified by the Coastal Zone Management Act, by developing and implementing an original Enforceable Policy Analysis tool; configuring explorer maps, webhooks, and other online resources; and leading authorship of a scholarly article to share this innovation with the coastal management community.

Lead and manage a 2-year project to update Oregon's decadal coastal public access inventory, coordinate public access needs across Oregon agencies, develop a cohesive and sustainable public access plan, and create a tool for sharing public access with residents and visitors. Report on public access for the Coastal Zone Management Act Section 309 Enhancement Program's Phase 1 and 2 Assessments. Additional duties include serving as Outreach Chair on the steering committee for the Oregon Coastal and Ocean Information Network, assisting with Federal Consistency reviews, presenting at state- and nation-wide conferences, and conducting access related research projects.

Fellow through the National Research Traineeship on Risk and Uncertainty Quantification and Communication in Marine Science. This program supports transdisciplinary research teams to investigate marine challenges through innovative and multi-dimensional approaches. I served as the human dimensions expert and communications liaison for a team researching marine reserve effectiveness along the Oregon coast. We utilized a qualitative network analysis to conduct a large-scale integration of ecological, oceanographic, and social research. The simulated model was perturbed through a loop analysis to model future management and non-management scenarios.

I worked as the primary leader of all OCOIN functions: tool and website development, outreach and engagement, steering committee meetings, forming institutional partnerships, and event planning and logistics. Additionally, I lead and coordinated the steering committee, which functions as the executive board, composed of high-level researchers, agency representatives, legislators, natural resource managers, students, and community members.

Assist with course preparation, teaching, and grading for undergraduate courses. Research support, including comprehensive literature review, writing grant proposals, attending meetings, and organization.

Aid in the revision and production of “Understanding GIS” by ESRI from ArcGIS 10.2 to ArcGIS Pro. Perform other GIS related tasks needed by the Center for Spatial Studies or ESRI.

Conduct a distribution and behavioural analysis of marine mammals and human interaction with ESRI’s Collector App, under research advisor Dr. Lei Lani Stelle. Verify and organize collected data for later visualization and analysis through ArcGIS Pro.
