I am an Environmental and Political Science major, with the hopes of pursuing a career in Environmental Policy. I have a strong passion for the environment and it's protection, so I see myself in a career where I could really make some change. I have particular interests in water quality and wetland conservation and would love to incorporate this into the career I choose.I have had the privilege of beginning to explore the world of environmental policy and consulting in an internship with Land Use Ecological Services INC. During my time I was able to familiarize myself with the structure of environmental policy through analysis of the NYS Freshwater Wetlands Act of 1975. I was also able to assess the amendment process as amendments to this legislation are to be put into effect in 2025. At the present time I have completed coursework such as Environmental Policy, Natural Resource Economics and Ecosystems, Biodiversity and Global Change, as well as preliminary courses in Biology, Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. All of these have significantly prepared me for pursuing a career in Environmental Sciences.
