We work with employers, Government and partners to ensure social care has the right people, skills and support required to deliver the highest quality care and support now and in the future.My key responsibilities include:- Planning and organising the delivery of activities within the London region- Developing effective and sustainable relationships with key partners - Contributing to a strategic and integrated approach to information and communication systems - Supporting key Skills for Care workstreams- Delivering updates as required at meetings with key interest groups and area networks- Supporting the Head of Area with strategic level key partner projects and engagement - Undertaking full performance and line management of five London Locality Managers, with wider supervision and guidance of key indirect reports as required. This includes allocation and review of work, overseeing training and development, and making decisions around workforce planning and people management issues across the area

In my role as Locality Manager my responsibilities included:- Engaging with and building relationships with employers and key partners to progress business development and Skills for Care’s profile within the local area- Gathering and analysing local information for project planning activity - Project management - and contributing to Skills for Care projects and project management processes as part of project teams when required- Planning and delivering events- Translating business plan priorities into local activity plans and overseeing implementation- Contract management- Contributing to income generation activities- Disseminating and encouraging the transfer of good practice and innovative ideas with partners based in the locality - Supporting and developing local networks- Contributing to and promoting coherence and synergy in the activities of Skills for Care and partnership organisations to encourage cost-effectiveness and reduce unnecessary duplication - Contributing as an internal link within the Skills for Care London & SE team to ensure effective communication and coordination of activity between the local team and central team- Researching and assimilating policy developments into all areas of my work- Maintaining monitoring and reporting systems for project delivery when required and working with internal Skills for Care support units to ensure appropriate financial, contract monitoring and reporting systems are adhered to
