working full time in PACU in 2011, however became part time during studying for my ODP diploma.To participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing a high standard of Patient care.To work under the direction of a qualified practitioner.Participate in all basic nursing care as directed by the practitioner in charge of the shift and following all training and instruction.Participate in Patient handling manoeuvres and procedures under the direction of a qualified practitioner.Assist, when appropriate with distressed patients and relatives.Assist the patient with all basic needs during their time in the recovery room.Recording all observations onto the theatres ORMIS, and report any abnormalities to the patients practitioner.To undertake support activities such as: bed making, disposal of linen, cleaning and tidying equipment in accordance with health & safety and relevant trust policies.To maintain a high standard of cleanliness on the unit in accordance with the Trusts Infection Control policies.
