Assisted supervision of students in the classroom as well as during residential hours. Classroom hours involved assisting students with their schoolwork, behavior management, and implementing teaching plans left by the teacher.Residential hours involved individual behavior and emotional management as well as group management. Activities during residential hours ranged from board games in the dorm, horseback riding, art class, woodshop, athletic activities, and off campus trips. Additionally filled in for various office positions. These tasks involved editing documentation for grammar/spelling, answering and transferring phone calls, preparing materials for meetings, as well as various other tasks.

SUMMARY: Direct Care provider for a nationally recognized, award winning non-profit program serving boys ages 9-18. Population consisted of individuals with learning disabilities and social/emotional regulation difficulties. RESPONSIBILITIES: Contributed to treatment direction of students while implementing guidance from clinical staff. Supervised dorm of 8 boys alongside residential aide.Documentation- Daily documentation, IEP and ISP goals, weekly summaries for parents, quarterly reports, and bi-annual parent/teacher/counselor conferences to discuss highlights and concerns of students social, emotional, and educational development. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Consulted with experienced educators, clinicians, speech-language pathology therapists, occupational therapists, and administrative positions to guide care provided to students. SKILLS: Utilized energetic and engaging nurturance to help foster interpersonal, emotional, and functional growth in students. (Social thinking(R) curriculum was integrated into care) Maintained a calm and patient presence while providing strong and supportive interventions.
