This was a one year rotating internship in aquatic animal clinical medicine. I completed rotations at the University of Florida, including zoological medicine, radiology and anesthesia. I also had external rotations at the Tropical Aquaculture Laboratory, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Marine Mammal Pathobiology Laboratory, Florida Aquarium, SeaWorld of Florida, Volusia County Marine Science Center, Jacksonville Zoo, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Loggerhead Marinelife Center and All Animal Eye Care Ophthalmology Services at Jupiter Pet Emergency and Specialty Center. I also assisted with manatee health assessments and manatee strandings. Throughout my internship, I was involved in a research project evaluating neuronal injury biomarkers in brain tissue and plasma of cetaceans and manatees.

One year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. I rotated through a variety of services including emergency medicine, critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology and exotic animal medicine. During this internship, I attended lectures, rounds and meetings on various topics in veterinary medicine. I was also responsible for giving two presentations. One presentation was a case report on diabetes and acromegaly in a cat. I also gave a technician continuing education presentation regarding rabbit emergencies.
