Communications Officer with a focus on stakeholder relationships and events.Working with key external stakeholders to provide speakers from the Office of the Public Guardian at events across the country.Providing key information on Lasting Powers of Attorney, Supervision and the role of OPG. KEY SUCCESSESDoubled attendance at Housing fayre from 600 to 1200 through creation of brand new campaign based on the stages of renting. Increased year on year sales of tickets, Platinum cards and wristbands for Freshers’ week through revision of the programme and improved promotion. Increased the readership of the weekly newsletter, improving content and design and the use of Mailchimp. Organised two commercial fares in collaboration with external companies, resulting in a total attendance of 8000 students. Introduced the use of photography at events to build a photo bank. Planned, promoted and executed awards events, managing over 550 individual nominations and 500 guests. Created and implemented a new system for requesting marketing materials into two different areas to quicken the service and provide an overall smoother and more effective system.Creating, planning, developing, co-ordinating and delivering a variety of campaigns, fayres and freshers’ week events to time and within budget.Identifying content, creating copy and overseeing design for a variety of in-house publications across print and social media platforms.Day to day management of the Marketing Assistant.Reviewing and analysing social media statistics and patterns to facilitate constant improvement of the use of all available platforms.Liaising with departmental heads across the organisation to identify the most effective delivery of promotional materials.Competent in the use of:Microsoft Office; Photoshop; Hootsuite; Basecamp.

I worked as part of a small communications team writing press releases and selecting photos i believed to be appropriate to the article. I also contacted people involved in the articles for interviews and they have been printed in local newspapers. My role also did an audit on the information provided on noticeboards including pictures and details and wrote a report on what would be needed on the boards and suggestions on how to improve information delivery to patients.

I contributed articles ideas for the magazine and wrote an article which was published in the third issue of the magazine. I also helped proof read the articles making any corrections needed and helped with the design of the magazine placing text and pictures.
