Completed a 14-week full-stack coding bootcamp learning how to create dynamic web-based software systems using Java providing 800+ hours of development education and application.Vending Machine CLI Capstone:Developed a command line interface to simulate the functionality of a vending machine using principles of object-oriented programming such as polymorphism, inheritance, and encapsulation to provide an updated inventory, allow users to feed money, purchase items, and calculate change. Implemented concepts of file I/O writing to create a log of transactions, and created unit tests using JUnit.TEBucks Capstone:Designed and developed a backend client-to-server money transfer application utilizing Java, PostgreSQL, and Postman, to demonstrate key principles of object-oriented programming and RESTful API client-server interactions. The application incorporated HTTP, JDBC Templates and data access objects, JWT authentication, and integration testing. Functionalities of the application included allowing users to securely register and log in, view their account balance and transaction history, send and request funds from other users, and approve and/or reject requests sent to them, in addition to producing an external log not visible to the user of transactions exceeding a threshold amount and failed transactions.
