As the Head of Field Studies at Absolute Adventure in the UAE, I design and oversee comprehensive field study programs tailored for visiting school groups. My role involves crafting educational experiences in geography, biology, zoology, marine studies, and sustainability. I ensure that each program is both engaging and informative, fostering a deep understanding of environmental awareness and promoting hands-on learning.

As the Assistant Director at YMCA Camp Collins, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the summer camp. My responsibilities included:Staff Management & Training: Supervised and supported a diverse team of camp staff, providing ongoing training and development to ensure high standards of performance and camper care.Daily Operations: Oversaw day-to-day camp activities, ensuring that programs were delivered effectively and that all operational needs were met.Scheduling: Created and managed detailed schedules for staff, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring a balanced and engaging camp experience.Camper Management: Coordinated the cabin assignments and activities for campers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promoted personal growth and community.Through these responsibilities, I contributed to a dynamic camp environment that prioritized safety, fun, and personal development.

Working at Calshot Activities Centre, my duties include: - Teach various activities to visiting school groups including: archery, climbing, low ropes, cycling, team building and problem solving. - Teach environmental sessions to primary and secondary level.- Instruct curriculum based field work sessions for Geography and Biology.

- Carry out animal husbandry routines and environmental enrichment.- Carry out animal observations and record data.- Ensure Health and Safety standards and administration is adhered to by following risk assessments and standard operating procedures.- Patrolling and monitoring the behaviour of a variety of carnivore species, as well ensuring the safety of visiting guests.

I managed the Field Studies Department at Ecoventure in the UAE which involved:- Planning and delivering teaching sessions for A-level and GCSE students.- Administration (organising the booking of trips and liaising with teachers about the programs). - Managing general field studies sessions at camp and training staff to run these sessions.- Manage and care for a small animal room of reptiles, invertebrates and small mammals.- Manage a team of instructors, assisting in their training and development and conducting reviews.

I have completed the first year of my teaching apprenticeship, my duties included:- Plan and deliver teaching sessions for basic animal care to further education students.- Safely lead practical activities, such as handling, feeding, cleaning of small mammals and livestock.- Carry out student assessments in order to meet curriculum needs.- Assist and support SEN learners.

Working with various international schools in Thailand to provide and deliver environmental education field trips around Thailand. Duties included:- Coordinate trip details with school trip coordinator and school administrators.- Create age appropriate programs related to school curriculum needs.- Work with the trip team to prepare journals/ other teaching aids to support planned programs.- Communicate trip details to team and lead activities/ teaching sessions, sometimes team teaching.- Create and implement local community programs and community service projects- Regularly post on social media about trips we run and current conservation issues.

This was a seasonal role and my duties included: - Deliver education programs to visiting schools.- Adapting teaching styles for early year’s foundation stages through to college level students.- Handling and caring for a number of reptiles and insects.

My position at Leeds Community Healthcare involved:- Working at various different health centres in south Leeds as a relief worker.- Answering phone calls, greeting patients, answering queries and booking appointments.- Managing referral forms and logging them onto the system.- Ensuring records are up to date, making any deliveries and being the first port of call for patients.

This was a seasonal role and my duties included:- Delivering couch tours, teaching sessions and workshops. - Teaching various age groups about zoos and animal husbandry, including how to clean/care for different animals and provide enrichment (practical based activities). - Administration such as booking sessions and experience days.

I have spent four summers working at a summer camp in Utah (2015, 2016, 2018, 2022), my first summer as a wrangler/cabin counsellor and my other two as equestrian coordinator. My duties included:- Scheduling/lesson planning and leading horse-riding sessions and teaching basic animal care.- Delivering a safe, fun, creative, and progressive age-appropriate horseback riding program.- Manage the daily proper care and feeding of 20-25 horses at all times. - Management of riding facilities and equipment.
