I am a lecturer and module leader on the PCER Programme in collaboration with Greater Manchester Police delivering to student officers undertaking PCDA courses. I have a special interest in Vulnerability, Threat, Harm and Risk along with promoting a trauma informed focus within policing.

I completed 13 years as a Police Officer with Merseyside Police. My most recent role was within the Training Academy as a student officer trainer in collaboration with LJMU delivering PCDA, DHEP and Detective DHEP police apprenticeship training. I delivered across the whole spectrum of police training with specialist interests in both crime legislation and protecting vulnerable persons (Child Protection and Domestic Abuse) Prior to working in the Training Academy, I spent 10 years on front line duties including Response and Resolution, Local Policing and Targeted Policing. I completed the Police Sergeant OSPRE Exam in 2015, obtaining an Exceptional Pass. Following this, I spent time working in Liverpool City Centre working with key stakeholders to look at policies and practices to protect the most vulnerable member of society such as homelessness, modern day slavery, and substance abuse/dependency.
