About Laura Dyer
Final year DPhil student with the Universtiy of Oxford, funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC), working in the Cilia, Development & Disease lab at the MRC Harwell Institute. My research focuses on the roles of the polycystins, PKD2 and PKD1L1, in nodal cilia during embryonic left-right pattern determination. Previously attained a 2:1 in my BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences with a professional training year at Cardiff University. I spent my professional training year working at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health with the genetics and genomic medicine department; I worked with a ciliopathies group mainly focusing on PCD and Jeune syndrome.
