I am a quirky, sunny person to work with; patient, professional and I find enjoyment in building rapport with customers and colleagues alike. A confident computer user, adapting to using new software in my current and previous roles. I stay cool under pressure and manage multiple tasks well, even at busier times. Away from the office I manage my partners business. I have secured him lucrative contracts using my initiative and I constantly seek to expand his customer base from optimising his social media, keeping tabs on the competition to canvassing for potential events. I work with him at these events and as he is often working on bikes, I am there to engage potential customers, answer any questions and get them to commit to booking in with him. From working closely with my partners business this also gives me a valuable insight when dealing with other local businesses to their world and the challenges they face and they knowledge and products they need to be successful. Outside of the work place I enjoy outdoor pursuits, from hiking mountains to cycling. I am also an accomplished martial artist (silver medallist for sparring in my age and gender category in the European tournament 2018) well on my way to earning my black belt, this takes the same dedication, motivation, passion and hard work I apply to my professional life. I am always looking to improve my knowledge and make the most of any role I am in, tenacious with any goals set with a desire to succeed. I currently work for Archant as a recruitment sales executive for their North Somerset and East Devon newspaper titles (The Mercury, Midweek, North Somerset Times, Midweek Herald, Sidmouth Herald, and The Exmouth journal) I am solely responsible for the recruitment pages in the above mentioned titles and also their Jobs24 website for these areas. I design adverts promoting our recruitment services in our newspapers and my customer’s adverts via the Mediaferry software and use OBA2 software daily. I work to weekly deadlines for each paper and maintain print and digital budgets for both counties. Managing customer bases in both areas, maintaining current relationships and seeking new prospects by actively canvassing. I have undertaken extensive sales and digital training at their head office in Norwich and also Cheltenham.
