Empathy lies at the foundation of my passions. I am understanding and kind to those who need intervention in order to better their personal life and relationships. Using my interpersonal relationship and listening skills, I can patiently assist those in need. I have a passion to intervene in the negative stigma of addiction. I want to educate people on the elements and effects of the disease. I am also determined to be a support system for those battling addiction as well as their families. Social justice and equality have always interested me; these interests have pulled me in the career direction I am moving toward today. Graduate school excites me, and I am anxious to begin a Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy. I would also like to acquire a specialization in addiction. My self-motivation and time management abilities will be vital in my graduate school experience.
