My work consists of carrying a caseload of 1-5 clients including two potential HVHT (Human Trafficking) residents along with parenting youth, and youth who are involved with services post majority. I provide case coordination, comprehensive care, and being part of a program leadership team. In this position I serve through advocacy, communication, education, identification/connections to resources, creating service plans, empowering development and growth of our residents, strengthening relationships between clients/peers/family, building our resident’s strengths and self-confidence, and supporting with teaching the valuable life skills to support young adults with functioning on their own in the community. I work with integrity and compassion with a culturally diverse population where I operate using strength and trauma focused approaches to be culturally sensitive and aware of ensuring I am meeting the needs of those I serve. Administrative actions can include building a schedule for Direct Care staff, providing curriculum for execution of life skills, maintaining stipend information, managing the use of the approved funds through Emburse/Certify.
