I have been interested in interior design since I was 15 years old. Since starting the Bachelor of Interior Design program at Algonquin, I have gained many skills. I have become proficient with AutoCAD and Revit. I use these tools to complete my projects. I use AutoCAD to create detailed construction documents and Revit to create illustrative renderings. To contribute to renderings, I use photoshop as an aid to further the amount of detail. During my time at Algonquin, I also learnt how to draft by hand. I can produce drawing such as axonometics, isometrics, and renderings. My style when designing is modern and contemporary. I enjoy researching new and innovative products that I could include in my designs. Doing this inspires me to do something unique when planning spaces and laying out a room. I strive to create environmentally friendly designs that meet the needs of those who will be using the space. I also like creating open concepts that separate rooms using finishes or changes in ceiling heights. I am confident when presenting my projects because I take pride in my work. I always ensure my designs fit their concepts and utilize the space as best as possible. I have excellent time management skills to guarantee my work is not rushed. Additionally, I work well in a team and individually. I consistently contribute when working in a team and listen to what others have to say. Going forward, I look ahead to an engaging career and to continue learning as I enter the design field.
