Throughout my entire life, one thing that has remained constant for me is my love for anything and everything criminal justice. I took my first class on the subject in the third grade; every Saturday I would wake up and unlike most other kids my age I would learn the basics of criminal investigation and legal procedure. Twelve years later, I am a junior at the University of New Haven studying Criminal Justice, concentrating in Forensic Psychology. Not once has my passion ever withered, in fact it has only gotten stronger. It has gotten so strong in fact that I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life in this field.Though most people may not agree with me, I thoroughly enjoy working. I have been working ever since I could and have held a wide range of jobs, each of which has provided me with crucial skills that will carry me forward in all my future endeavors. I have held jobs in customer service such as making sandwiches at a local pizza shop, working in retail and serving at a restaurant. These types of jobs have always been very satisfying to me as I love talking with people. I have also held jobs in the administrative field, for instance I held a position as a data entry clerk at a national environmental company. This job had me working and communicating with many colleagues of all levels of experience within the organization. As satisfying as these jobs are, they have also taught me; critical thinking, effective and efficiently problem solving, effective communication, important organizational skills and time management. I always strive to go above and beyond my job description. This has allowed me to be delegated tasks others in my position do not typically take on and obtain promotions.Besides work I enjoy volunteering and community service. I'm a brother of Alpha Phi Omega which is a coed community service fraternity. Volunteering has allowed me to further involve myself in the community and help those in need.
