• Develops and prepares annual budget. • Interviews and hires staff through HDE Department. Has authority to and responsibility to discipline or discharge staff, when necessary. • Works cooperatively with Health Services Administrator, Administrator of Assisted Living, DON, Director of HCBS, Licensed Social Workers and other staff to determine appropriate placement for residents transitioning to a higher level of care. • Prepares and produces Resident Handbook at regular intervals.• Reviews and evaluates resident engagement and satisfaction with activities. • Plans and organizes in-service training for staff members. • Acts as representative for Independent Living through participation on Leadership Team. • Works cooperatively with Maintenance, Housekeeping, Floor Care, Dining Services, Sales and other departments concerning Independent Living Residents. • Assists the sales team with the move-in process and orienting a new resident to the community. • Assists with CARF/CCAC and EAGLE Accreditation process. • Resolves questions, concerns and complaints from residents, family members and visitors. • Participates in planning future development of Epworth Villa programs and facilities. • Plans and oversees staffing for Independent Living Department. • Works to maintain a favorable image of Epworth Villa, particularly the Independent Living area within the service area and community. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Directly supervises subordinate staff of Wellness Center, Pastoral, Communications, Transportation and Life Enrichment. • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department. • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Epworth Villa’s policies and applicable law. • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Served as one of the four academic division directors for the college and advanced the academic work in these areas. Supervised 20 full-time and 30 part-time employees. Administered a budget of over $600,000. Actively involved in oversight of several capital bond building projects. Served as Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Liaison and as co-chair of successful HLC visit with a full ten year accreditation finding. Participated in the development, planning, recommendation, implementation, and administration of academic goals and objectives, and policies and procedures; developed and recommended new and modified programs, courses, policies and procedures; and supported all instructional initiatives of the division. Coordinated undergraduate research in assigned academic areas.

Advanced the work of three academic areas. Oversaw 15 adjunct faculty members. Administered a $100,000 grant for the RCC Scholars for Excellence in Child Care program. Selected all textbooks and online learning materials for 50 class sections. Taught an average of 19 credit hours per semester. Assisted in student advisement, recruitment and retention in these academic areas. Engaged in college-wide leadership including service on the Curriculum and Assessment Committees. Served as Faculty Association President.

Planned, developed, conducted and evaluated educational programs involving family issues and youth concerns within the county. Established programs for divorcing parents, premarital couples, parents, child care providers, and volunteer leaders. Secured numerous grants. Served on many community committees. Was a leader in establishing the Kingfisher Community Collaborative that is still in existence today. Assisted with the Kingfisher County 4-H activities and school enrichment programs. Co-founded a 4-H club for the developmentally disabled.

Oversaw evening and weekend programs and courses offered through the sponsoring academic department. Worked with the deans and department chairs to expand course offerings. Served as the evening and weekend campus administrator. Attended Deans’ Council meetings.

Created diverse student activity programming. Provided leadership and direction to student organizations and their sponsors. Served as recruiter and advisor in the student services department. Developed and administered the student activities budget.

Determined placement of students in work assignments. Initiated development of jobs with employers in a multi-county service area. Taught a Career and Personal Planning Class. Recruited students to the Cooperative Education Department. Assisted with recruitment and advising in the Student Service area.

Administered a $250,000 grant for elderly clients. Coordinated budgeting, fact-finding, grant writing and public relations activities. Supervised 10 employees. Oversaw programs in the areas of outreach, congregate and home delivered meals, transportation and housekeeping services.
