Instruct Integrated Science, Marine Biology, and Environmental Science. I teach 9th-12th graders, and develop lessons that engage students and lessons that get students excited about science and the world around them.

As a lifeguard, first and foremost, I practice and perform ocean safety skills to ensure the public's safety and well being. I also practice good public relations among the beach patrons in order to education the public on ocean safety as well as to keep a good report between the beach patrons and myself. As a senior lifeguard for the Ship Bottom Beach Patrol, I oversee the 11th Street Beach and its crew of lifeguards. The position includes training rookie and young lifeguards, overseeing proper and safe beach setup, being a leader to my fellow lifeguards on my beach to develop good teamwork, and delegating specific tasks when needed. As the senior lifeguard I also act as a liaison between the guards on my beach and the administration (which includes the lieutenants and the captain).I am also a Lifeguard-In-Training Instructor. LIT Instructors mentor young kids, from ages 10-15, and teach each LIT ocean safety and skills needed to be a lifeguard.I am also the team captain of the women's competition team. We compete in lifeguard tournaments in order to both practice and display our lifeguard skills in a friendly competition environment. We have attended and placed in the All Women's National Lifeguard Tournament held in Sandy Hook, NJ ever year, as well as various other lifeguard tournaments.

Last school year (2010-2011), I managed a short-term substitute position for a Health and Wellness class. For that class, I designed differentiated lesson plans for the Health class which included various learning strategies in order to reach every student and I assessed students’ accountability and knowledge in the Health class with a daily points system, participation, group activities, educational games, homework, and quizzes. After the Health teacher returned, I managed a week-long preparatory PSSA Science class. In that preparatory PSSA class I worked closely with each student to make sure that they were able to understand and answer each question, how to write a paragraph in scientific terms from an open-ended question, and know the science concepts that they have previously learned in other classes. As a short-term substitute teacher, I also attended regular faculty meetings to gain further knowledge of the school, its students, and the faculty.After the short-term substitute position came to an end, I continued to be employed as a daily substitute teacher, filling in various classrooms whenever I was needed. I continue that position there today.

I was a long-term Biology substitute for a period of 3 months.While at Saint Hubert's I instructed sophomores in Biology 1 of various track levels and seniors in Biology 2. My daily planning included integrating technology into lesson plans and activities to enhance student learning and promote inquiry-based instruction. With the different track levels, I differentiated lesson plans to meet the academic needs of the students. I planned various labs with the students including practical labs as well as virtual labs, participated in Faculty and Department meetings, and collaborated with the Head of the Department of Science to devise curriculum units that would benefit the students and keep on track with the other Biology sections. I also practiced various forms of communication between the students and parents. Also, I devised quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects to assess the students' knowledge of the content.

As an employee of CVS in customer service I had many responsibilities. I worked the cash register regularly since the store was mainly busy. I also stocked the shelves with supplies when needed as well as assisted in designing and putting together the seasonal section. I also worked closely with the customers to ensure that they found everything they needed and had a good visit. I worked closely with my coworkers as a member of the CVS team to ensure that the store was presentable and the customers were happy.
