I am a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based yoga, meditation and mindfulness guide who wants to learn, share and bring wellness to you.Your time.Your space. Your needs. I am available both online or in-person for individually tailored private client sessions, guided group classes, special events, outdoor activities and can develop a workplace wellness program for your particular corporate office team needs. My story is unique. For the past 20+ years I have worked as a physician assistant in a multitude of medical specialties and have practiced medicine internationally as a US Diplomat. While medicine and healthcare remain a great passion of mine, I wanted to explore how I could use my depth of anatomy knowledge and interest in the human body in a more holistic manner. My personal yoga journey has evolved from attending classes that left me feeling like an outcast to realizing how to make a practice work for me and letting it fuel my desire to learn as much as I can. Through my muscle inflexibility, mental fatigue, stress and burnout, I found my way to classes that allowed me to enjoy yoga in a whole new light. These slower, gentler, restorative practices made yoga approachable and accessible to my body, motivating me to share my journey with people who would have otherwise believed yoga to be unattainable or undesirable. I completed both my 200 hour yoga teacher training and my 150 hour meditation teacher training in Pittsburgh. As my study of the human body and mind continues to evolve, so does my teaching style. You can expect slower paced classes that incorporate a connection between breath and movement, learn ways to soothe the nervous system and explore creative, playful use of props. I am also an avid rock and ice climber, a nature junkie and am owned by a chocolate lab named Sydney, a rescue pup named Franklin and a well traveled cat named Mischka who is originally from Moscow, Russia.
