I am quickly approaching my final semester at Pennsylvania State University where I will complete my BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in Scenic Design. With my graduation date quickly approaching, I am reflecting on the valuable skills and experiences I have acquired both in and out of school these past four years. Balancing school work with my job as a waitress, I have honed my client support skills, developed a keen eye for detail, and cultivated a strong work ethic. My experience in the customer service industry has refined my ability to communicate effectively and instilled in me the importance of teamwork and adaptability - qualities I eagerly bring to my aspiring career in the scenic industry. My passion lies in prop making whether that be for movies, theatre, or commercial/marketing purposes. Prop design is a multifaceted discipline that involves creating visually compelling and contextually appropriate environments for performances and installations. I am very enthusiastic and seeking opportunities to apprentice under seasoned professionals upon graduation. Just because I will be done school does not mean I am done learning. With a steadfast dedication to my craft and a proactive approach to personal and professional growth, I hope to make a meaningful impact in the props industry and continue to learn each and every day.
